Seriously, the Zero Harm School project has emerged as a reaction to excessive regulation that has entered all spheres of life. Including those who do not need it (private life, emotions, creativity). Excess regulation confuses and complicates what is involved by placing people in a rigid framework. Since the scale of this phenomenon is colossal, I choose not to resist it, but to obey and join in the production of endless instructions. By approving the language of the regulations, I bring absurdity to its many words of science, exposing the pointlessness and ineffectiveness of overregulation.

When I work in a genre of music, I make video lessons on behalf of the fictional Zero-Word School. I’m imagining online turtorials, and I’m building weird, multiword instructions, expressing the frustration from the ubiquitous regulation. Visual language includes a lack of speech and mouth movements, which highlights the inconsistency of the instruction with reality. The video of the school’s lessons answers questions that are impossible and don’t need to be answered. Examples of Questions: How to move on to the next thought? How can you go beyond what’s normal?

In a series of photos of the Zero Harm School, I think about the subject of instructions as trying to stabilize, regularize life. I’m making the model die in front of the people from the road signs and the entrance and exit signs. Simplified figures on signs make this task difficult and the model often falls. This creates a gap between reality and its pattern, stability and volatility, stressing the fragility of over-regulation positions.
