Passiflora is blue, or «Cavalier’s Star» is a graceful lana with unusual flowers, reminiscent of order stars. It’s a plant from a family of stork-colored, from South America. Its Latin name, Passiflora, is associated with symbolism: the Spanish monks saw Christian motives in the structure of the flower — the thorn crown, nails, and hammers of the Fears of the Christ. In Europe, however, passiflora was referred to as the «Cavalier Star» for the subtlety and symmetry of petals that resembled knights' differences. Interestingly, passiflora is not just a decorative plant: its fruits, marakuya, are edible, but leaves contain substances that have a soothing effect. Besides, her flowers are able to pollinate themselves by closing up at night, which makes them a miracle nerds.
